It’s a good place for a family weekend with many attractions. Especially we liked children's fountain and the small slides.
Few things I didn’t like, though they are not critical. But it’s better to know to prepare yourself for a great day:
Food. There is only junk food full of oil and fats in all food courts. I tried to choose something not too oily, but even kebab box in full of souses like mayonnaise, and French fries and not with salt, but with strange orange flavouring. Everything is brewed with a lot of oil. After lunch I felt heaviness in the stomach because of junk food. If it is place for families with kids, why not to give any choice with healthy food, for example chicken cutlet and purée? Some soups? Just anything without oil? I would recommend to take your food.
Distance. Big distance between attractions. It took me around 20 min to walk from 1 attraction to another with 4 y.o.kid. Can’t imagine why it was planned like that. But it’s not that easy and fast to return to one of the attractions. We spend 4 hours in the park and 3 hours of them we were just walking to attractions. I would recommend to spend to spend 4€ on the trolley near the entrance.
Water inflatable attractions for kids. Staff, who gives the life jackets near the jump space on the water is so unfriendly. She just threw us a dirty kids life jacket without asking kids age/weight. I saw it was for 30-40kg, but my kids weight is only 15kg. I asked for the appropriate one. But It’s just not safe, because some parents may not check if this jacket is ok for their kids. It would be really great to ask from the beginning and be more polite. Another thing - I don’t know why they allow to enter let’a say big kids (10-13 y.O) to kids castle, which is really small. And big kids plays are just not combined with little kids around. They just jump on their heads and do not even look who is around. No one is looking what’s going on inside. I would recommend to come there will small kids (3-6 y.o.) only when it’s not season or when it's not crowded, otherwise better skip this attraction.
as it is located in the field, hats and drinking water...
As much as I want to rate this place for 5 stars, it's simply impossible at this stage. The biggest issue is the staff attitude. From the moment we walked in to the place, we just didn't felt welcome. Starting from buying tickets by extra question, sales women was talking to us like doing us a favour... Staff at the coffee shop at the beginning of the park, are just rudest people I've met recently. They were giving out people for standing in wrong queue, yes, giving out, and not just politely explaining or helping. It's so redicilous in 2021 in Europe that it's funny and sad at the same time. The other staff was just there, you can see on their eyes that they did t want to be there, not a single smile and they just being annoyed by all the customers with their "stupid" questions.
Also they have huge issue with the queues. If place have a first come first serve policy, organise queue system or something. This place working for few years and it's same thing every year...
The lastly, there is everywhere information written on three languages, but none of the staff speaks any other language, either English or Russian. Not like it's that important, but by assuming that info is on all languages, simple English reply could be handy.
Big issue with the price in my opinion. €20 per person, for adult and kids same price. Place located 70km from Riga, most attractions are second hand probooly bought from other parks and not suitable for adults. €20 is a greed for a park which is always under construction. Go to Lego land in UK, tayto park in Ireland, or other similar places in Belgium or France, and compare what you get for lesser price....
However, I will give one extra star for being enough fun to keep 7 year old entertained for couple of hours. I would give another star if staff wasn't rudest I've met in Latvia, another one if price would be adequate, at least for adults and another one if place wouldnt be constantly under construction and queues would...
Read moreAn Absolute Disaster . Overpriced, Flooded, and a Waste of a 145km Drive If I could give zero stars, I would. This was without a doubt one of the worst and most frustrating family outings we have ever experienced. I strongly urge everyone to read this before considering a visit. We drove 145 km, filled with anticipation for a special day out. The first shock was the price: €30 per person, with no exception even for a baby. For this premium price, we expected a premium park. What we got was a dusty, undecorated field with a few basic, dated rides. The atmosphere was completely bland, and the "dinosaur park" was just a collection of silent, static models. Then, to make matters infinitely worse, it began to rain heavily. The park's cheap infrastructure was immediately exposed. The sand and gravel paths, which were already unpleasant, turned into deep pools of muddy water. There is clearly no proper drainage system whatsoever. We had to wade through filthy water just to get around, and my shoes were completely ruined. This is not an issue of "bad weather"; it is an issue of bad and cheap construction. The final insult came when we tried to get something to eat. Be warned: the restaurants will squeeze every last cent from you. We ordered a plate of chicken wings, only to be told we had to buy fries separately, and then even had to pay extra for a bit of ketchup. Between the outrageous entry fee, the long and wasted drive, the bland park, the inexcusable flooding, and the nickel-and-diming at the restaurant, this was a truly terrible experience. Avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth your time, your money, or...
