Lake is located in Engure Municipality, main part of it in Lapmežciems Parish and a smaller part in Smārde Parish. Since 1995 Lake Kaņieris is designated a Ramsar wetland of international importance.

Lovely place, I suggest to go here to fish or just spent some relaxing time on water. Comfortable boat rent including brief choices of pillow seats and boats.Even If you can't swim it will be hard...

Skaists, interesants. Viss niedrēs. Skatu tornis un var vērot un priecāties par skaistām ainavām un putniem. Beautiful, interesting. All in reeds. Lookout tower and you can observe and enjoy beautiful landscapes and birds. Красивый, интересный. Есть смотровая башня. Всё озеро в камышах. С башни можно смотреть и радоваться красивым...
