3 stars is for dinner, which was really very good- and we would happily return for dinner. I would not return to stay, however - this is the 2nd time we have visited, and on both occasions, the service and breakfast have been sadly lacking, and the spa hot tub was filthy dirty. Breakfast:- no hot option except a very salty, overpowering lamb sausage (they ran out of bacon both times we stayed) and really nothing sweet to go with coffee- not a single small cake, croissant or anything similar. The eggs were neither organic nor free range, and the tomatoes were the cheapest, most tasteless ones you can get from the supermarket. We did feed this back and was told this was because we are in the countryside. Sorry, not good enough. So - would definitely return for dinner, but...

So we took the winter special for two where food is included (breakfast and dinner), spa, a stay there and a prosecco bottle. Everything was amazing, they take good care of you, spa is private and everything is thought of, rooms are antique but still modern, really don’t have to take anything - there were toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels, robes, sliders - everything included.
