Very small zoo, the animals were so thin and hungry, the staff did not seem to have any particular education or knowledge of the animals or their need for space.
We saw a lion cradling with its head and repeating the same movement by walking back and forth for itself. The same behavour had the Mountain cat. The donkey ran stressed around a pole and rod headed its fence several times during the 5 minutes we looked at her, and on repeat.
When my husband asked the staff about the dunkys behavour he told us with a smile that the dunky was only "playing around.. " It was abvious that several of the animals was uncomfortble, stressed and miserable.
The cages was so small! I saw a wolf in a Cage that was about 10 kvm, a Wolf should have a lot of space as they naturly are used to run for 100 miles in the nature every night.
Everything about this zoo was disgusting! Poop everywhere, dirty water, skinny and stressed out animals, uneducated staff and dirty enviorment.
The experiance made me angry. Ok. I had to have a loong talk with my child aftherworth about what we saw in this zoo and how nothing of this is acsepteble.
What a shame for Lebanon. ANIMAL CITY, YOU...
Read moreUnfortunately, my recent visit to a zoo was quite disappointing, and I must say, it was not a pleasant experience at all. The conditions at the zoo were simply unacceptable, and I was left feeling disappointed and saddened by what I saw.
First of all, the animal enclosures were small and cramped, with very little space for the animals to move around in. It was clear that many of the animals were not getting the exercise or stimulation that they needed, and they seemed lethargic and unhappy.
Additionally, the enclosures were dirty and poorly maintained. There was a strong smell of animal waste in the air, and the floors of the enclosures were covered in grime and filth. It was clear that the animals were not being properly cared for, and their living conditions were simply unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the zoo was overcrowded with visitors, making it difficult to get a good look at the animals. Many of the visitors were loud and disruptive, which only added to the stress and discomfort of the animals.
Overall, I would not recommend this zoo to anyone. The conditions are simply unacceptable, and it is clear that the animals are not being...
Read moreI recently visited Animal City While the place itself is nice and the entrance fee is affordable, I was very disappointed by the conditions of the animals. Many cages were dirty, the water bowls were not clean, and the animals looked very sad and uncomfortable.
I also saw small dogs, like dachshunds, that clearly belong in homes, not in zoo cages. On top of that, animals like owls and other wild creatures should not even be kept in such places—their real home is in the wild and the forest, not in captivity. Some animals also looked very hot and thirsty, and when I asked about it, I was told water was being put now—but in my opinion, water should be checked and refilled regularly, at least every hour, especially in the heat.
Another issue was that after holding some birds (like the owl), we were told only afterwards that there was an extra charge. It would be much better if these fees were explained clearly before.
Overall, while the idea of the place is nice, I truly hope they improve the animals’ living conditions, stop keeping pets and wild animals in cages, and be more transparent with visitors. Animals deserve better care, love,...
