Phenomenal, peaceful and cool place to go to in the hot summer to enjoy a gentle breeze and cool off while enjoying both the amazing mountain scenery and the wonderful sky blue water color of the dam.

In fact, an incredible place to visit in all seasons hot and cold, cool off in the summer or visit the dam on your way to your ski trip in the winter or use it as a relaxing pit stop in any season on your way to nearby Faraiya for its wonderful Saint Charbel huge statue and church which you can see from the dam or on your way to Faqra to visit its country club or ancient Roman temple ruins.

All and all this place is a Jack of all trades providing wonderful scenery but most importantly as is the function of every dam…WATER for the...

Very peaceful place to come to. You can access this place from a bunch of entrances such as parking before the gate at the bottom and hiking up the mountain, it's fairly simple. Or you can park at the top the dam itself and have a long hike all the way around the dam.

It's fairly a straight line and and can hike all the way around easily as there are no difficult parts. It's mostly for chillling and relaxing around the lake.

On the day I was in, there was a group removing tents apparently after a festival, so this place also hosts festivals. There are also boats, kayak, pedalo activities and the water is very clean as are the whole...

Chabrouh Dam: A Gem of Engineering The Chabrouh Dam is more than just a water barrier; it’s a masterpiece of engineering. Its wall, a colossal structure composed of solid lebanese rock, is a testament to human skill and resilience. The sheer magnitude and precision of its construction are awe-inspiring. It's truly a gem of modern architecture, seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of its surroundings. Mybphotos are my personal observations about the dam's wall, and the rocks color is piece of art, or the way it's constructed is amazing.

A visit to the Chabrouh Dam is a must for anyone interested in engineering marvels and...

Great place for a chill walk or even a more challenging hike. I will post more about the trail in another review but in case you opt for the walk it's around 2 km you'll start right before the gate and follow the road all the way up (you can also take the stairs for a quicker reach to the top) It's easy and you can take your children with you that's for sure. I wouldn't adivse swimming / SUPing in the dam's waters although some people have tried it. You can exercise at the top or simply spend some time alongside the lake. Don't forget your sunscreen and hats.
