I was around the area and decided to pop in and I’m glad I did! The vibes in here were really nice, even at the entrance everything is decorated, a swing for children and the place was colourful at the entrance which set a good tone to the place. The room with the cats contains many cat associated decorations, you can even take some cat toys that are displayed and play with the cats! The cats (I think there were 5) were very chill and friendly, they go about their own business and do not mind being pet. You have to pay €5 for the whole experience, that also includes the “zoo” which is based in another room full of exotic animals such as lizards, spiders, parrots etc. It was very cool. However, it would be a lie if I said that I enjoyed it 100%. Reason for this is because I got the vibe that the animals confined were not very happy. Of course it is a personal opinion and I can never know, but the factors that led me to believe this are: some of the food in the animals bowls were completely dried out or even mouldy! One of the animals was scratching the glass constantly at the little gap throughout the whole duration of me being there and one of the rats face was bloody. To conclude this, I do recommend this place for people with children as it is cheap and definitely a good way to spend time, the place is clean and almost spotless! The cats are very friendly. I will not rate it 5 stars as I feel that the animals in the soo could be treated...
Read moreAn authentic collection of sculptures, images, cups, hand-mades and other cat-shaped items. Bonus: six actual cats living in museum. It's not a classical museum but some sort of after-school activity for kids who want to learn more about nature. So, the building itself reminds a small school or kindergarten from outside. Go inside, turn left and up at the second floor (you'll see the cat graffiti on the walls) – and you're in museum. 15-30 mins seems to be ok to explore all the exhibition. Bonus2: vivarium with exotic animals next door. Admin will show you where is it. Disadvantages: Short workday Not appropriate air...
Read moreOne of my children loves cats, so I thought this would be a cool little activity to do while in Siauliai and I was right! Not only for the incredibly large collection of tiny cat statues from all over the world, but also for the 3 live cats that roam the place. They are the fluffiest friendliest cats we’ve ever met, absolutely adorable! 😍 There is also a mini zoo with iguanas and parakeets and lots of other animals. The entry was very reasonably priced, so we highly recommend this place for all cat...
