If you are in lithuania and happen to be fascinated with soviet history, please take a bus and come to this park!! 🚂USSR statues: super cool, there are quite a lot to see. With explanation cards in eng/lithuanian/russian, you are able to understand each statue and their stories. We took around 1.5-2hrs there to look around pretty slowly. If you’re visiting in summer, make sure to bring bug spray, cuz the mosquitoes didn’t leave us alone 🥲🥲 🐻zoo: the park is somehow half of zoo. They keep a lot of birds, chickens, swans, goats, rabbits and 2 bears in the zoo. The bears are soooo sad and they for sure don’t have good conditions. We feel so sad for them 🥺 i also don’t understand why they lock up swans 🥲 🍀souvenir shops, and some buildings were not opened, which are a shame. There’s a cafe in the park, but the online reviews are really bad….. 💕 in general, such a cool place to visit once in a lifetime. Very interesting and i’m glad they did keep the statues as part of the history. It’s also a very natural park so family/couple can enjoy a lot of fun time together.

One of the most controversial places I have ever visited. There are many monuments dedicated to people, who fought for what they thought was righteous, but it turned out that they were on the wrong side of history. In Austria, where I live, we usually refer to the Red Army as well as to the Americans or British as those who put an end to the "brown plague" of nazism and brought freedom from it to the Europe. This park tells the different story about the Soviets. Lithuanians saw them as villaneous as the nazis or Armia Krajowa, for they wanted nothing else but freedom and independence, which resulted in rapes and plundering by the Red Army in Lithuania. Fortunately, now Lithuania has removed the statues of those who supported the crimes from the streets and moved them here, so that the younger generation remembers what was happening during that time and always keeps in mind, that every glorious story has its own dark side. So impressed!

Very interesting place if you want to know about the country during soviet times. They have a large expedition of statues and items. Nice for children as well as there is a large playground and animals in the park. We been to the park the second time now and were pretty excited about it. Please be aware that the restaurant and some other houses on site are closed during autumn. The expedition is still open and it is not crowdy during these times. Totally worth a visit. Someone should just give the bear a bit more space, he was in the small shelter most of the day.

For only 10 euros, we have access to a beautiful, closed open-air museum, tightly surrounded by a fence and watchtowers, from which you can hear characteristic propaganda slogans. The park's paths lead first from the monument to the monument, and finally to a museum filled with propaganda and busts of Lenin and a library. Along the way, you can wave to political prisoners in the form of llamas, kangaroos and many other animals. A friendly place for parents with children and couples! I highly recommend!

The park and statures were great. Heaps to check out in the exhibitions; an excellent way to remind people of their past. Saw a lot of numbers clearly marking items of interest; would have appreciated a map or audio guide to enhance the experience. Why only 3 stars? Please please please get that bear to a sanctuary. Or does t have enough space, nothing to climb, no enrichment (that we could see) and was pacing the entire time I was watching it. It absolutely broke my heart.

Amazing place. Living history, that is not that old but very young, close and important. I rase my hat Infront of the idea author. Enormous ammount of work, beautiful collectable pieces and important information without too much necessary details. Also thank you very much to the personell. We lost some valuables in the beautiful park. 2 hours later security did search, found it and we were informed immediately. Thank you for cervice, caring and all education received
