Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park — Attraction in Kaunas County

Fascinating! I'd say if someone asks how to describe this park in one word. Lagoon park is huge it occupies about 10% territory of Lithuania, shore length around the lagoon is more then 200 km. So lots of stuff is here. If you want to have full experience you must live here. But if you don't  have much time and you'd like to see something. When Kaunas hydro power station was built in the 1950-ies, river Nemunas's water rose up and erosion created a unique landscape. The Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park is a large area in central Lithuania, which combines places located around the Kaunas Lagoon. The park was established in 1992.
