Read moreNot the best place for swimming. Our kids found 3 dead fish in the waters by the shore which caused immense interest on their side but way less enthusiasm from ours. There was some area where the water was white-greenish, which was also not very appealing for the swim. It gets quite deep quite quick though.
Sand on the beach is less good than on the Coronian spit.
Among the pluses: easy to get with the city bus, lots of changing booths, a small restaurant with ice cream, a playground, volleyball field and lifeguard station (which was still empty in mid May).
