Kartenos piliakalnis su gyvenviete

Piliakalnis įrengtas I tūkstantmečio viduryje. Ant jo stovėjo kuršių pilis, kryžiuočių užkariauta 1253 metais. Pasak vienų padavimų, jį supylė žemaičiai, įsirengę savo karaliaus pilį. Pasak kitų, šioje pilyje gyveno Lietuvą užėmę švedai, dėl to piliakalnis kartais vadinamas Švedų kalnu.
