Liškiava church of holy trinity — Attraction in Liškiava

I was there late in the evening in June. It was gorgeous. I didn't get the chance to check out the restaurant or accommodation, but tje location, tje property and everything was just neyomd gorgeous. I've heard good things about the restaurant, so its definitely on a bucket list - usually family owned businesses in Southern Lithuania in the middle of tiny villages are great. The property doest not permit the dogs - so make sure you leave your fur-babies at home - you can't walk around the complex with dogs. There are gorgeous mounds and some architectural and natural sites right nearby, so you can take your dogs there, but around the church complex - doggies are not allowed. If you wanna check this place out when traveling with pets, make sure you go there with friends, so somebody can stay with the dogs outside the complex while others are checking...

Liškiava Church is a preserved pearl of baroque architecture in the Dzūkija region, located on the picturesque banks of the Nemunas. Definitely worth a visit, and especially to go inside. We did not book the tour in advance, so we did not enter the museum premises. The guide we met strongly recommended to book the tour a few days/day before arrival. Мне очень повезло, что сегодня я поехал в этот храм. Было тихо, солнечно и тепло. Я не только попал внутрь, но и посчастливилось услышать часть истории места, и его внутреннего убранства. Я был впечатлен богатством внутри, очень много золотых поверхностей. Изображения библейских сюжетов яркие и запоминающиеся. И еще, неожиданно для такого отдаленного от богатых городских районов, храма, здесь есть органная музыка. Правда, мне не посчастливилось ее услышать, но это послужит стимулом, для новых посещений святого места. Очень понравился вид на реку, который открывается если выйти на восточную часть комплекса. Не хотелось уходить оттуда. Рекомендую всем погулять еще и по окресностям, улыбнуло место, в котором маленькая местная речка "Кручус" впадает в Нямунас. Не пропустите прогуляться до сторожевой башни на юг, по тропинке вдоль реки. Не было времени узнать подробности про символ пилигримов, справа от ворот храма, но это тоже...
