This area is full of sinkholes different size. Very interesting natural occurrence! This one is quite deep. Story tells, that a cow fell into this sinkhole. You can use stairs to go to the bottom of the hole. But there is mosquitos everywhere, be careful. I strongly recommend to see all others sinkholes around and especially the "Barsuko Ola" (it is to the left of "geologists pit") There are multiple wooden trails and plenty of bigger sinkholes. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is because all signs are only in Lithuanian. Overall a decent place to see if you are nearby.

Interesting place, but not as spectacular as we expected. Sure, interesting nature phenomenon, but if you are from far away, definately it should't be main reason to go there. But pleasant thing is that all places to see are marked, grass is cut, despite there are many mosquitos at summer time, you might not worry about ticks

Interesting place, but expected much more. If you are on the way to Birzai is worth to stop here, but not the main goal. Good parking there and some minutes to go until you achieve the goal.people can go down and after that see a quite new statue - little cow.

It’s not particularly spectacular, but quite interesting phenomena of Norther. Lithuania when you have cavities formed under the ground. You do not see much, just get down the stairs to see the entry.

Pati žymiausia ir didžiausia smegduobė. Be to, ji nėra vienintelė - toje vietovėje jų daugybė ir kiekviena turi savo istorija. Kodėl ši vieta pavadinta "Karvės ola" paaiškina tokia. Joje pasakojama, kad "dvare tarnavusi moteris susiruošė melžti pono karvės. Atėjusi ji išgirdo verkiant dvare paliktą kūdikį. Viską metusi moteris išskubėjo į dvarą, o grįžusi į lauką vietoje karvės rado tik atsivėrusią didelę duobę. Ant jos krašto kabėjo nutrūkusi grandinė..."

It is a nice place, it is taken care of. Just take a short walk, have a snack (your own :) on the rest place near the parking place and enjoy it :)
