Aukštagirė Ski Area — Attraction in Taurage County

We came here on 26th of December. My friend waited here for 2 hours to rent snowboarding equipment and finally when she got it, shoes were 2 sizes too big. The woman who was selling the tickets didn’t even want to make a discount or give us extra time after we explained that we just waited for 2 hours. If we knew how long would we have to wait, we wouldn’t even have went here to waste our time in the queue. We checked their website and facebook and there was no information about the lack of equipment or the wait time. So many more people were also disappointed. Also, I texted Aukstagire a week before Christmas on facebook asking about their working hours on holidays. They haven’t replied me...

Really nice and cosy place for skiing. However yesterday I was disappointed, because only one skiing lift was open and it was a real struggle to get there with a snowboard. Another skiing lift was much closer and it would be much more comfortable to lift with this one, but somehow they decided to close it. Best ski area at this moment with adequate prices. Yes it is crowded at weekends and hard to find a place where to park your car but 4 lifts are doing great at their job and you have to wait up to 5 minutes to go up. Great tracks for beginners and kids. The cons are that one track was in poor condition to begin with after a few hours they opened. Pros is that you can pay for everything with your card (don't know if you can do this at rental area). You can not compare with skiing at mountais but it is a good place to have fun at weekend.

Kol kas geriausia vieta kur galima paslidinėti su adekvačiom kainom. Savaitgali žmonių kiekis didokas ir sunkoka surasti vieta kur pastatyti savo auto, bet 4 liftai pakankamai gerai alieka savo darba ir nereikia ilgai laukti, kol pakels į viršų. Nepatiko, kad viena trasa po kelių valandų jau buvo prastokos būklės. Pliusas - perkant bilietus ar kavinej galima atsiskaityti kortele. Smagi vieta jei norisi savaitgali...
