Paliesius (Polesie) manor — Attraction in Utena County

The place is gorgeous by itself. However, the waitresses are very rude and even sneering on their own visitors at the restaurant. If you visit Paliesius Manor, never go to the restaurant if you do not want to be humiliated in front of other visitors at the restaurant, do not even try to speak Lithuanian if you are half-Lithuanian/half-Briton. Avoid their restaurant as far as you can. We had a stop over at the manor while touring through eastern Lithuania - Ignalina and Zarasai region. Highly recommended as a place to spend a few days away from the city and relax in natural surrounding. Be sure to ask for a small tour of the estate - great restoration history. Local food is ok.
