Seems like a nice place. We were there for Pride, somewhat on accident.
We did not realize exactly how far the march would be and how far away from everything the park was. Especially as the march had to take the long way around everything to reach the park
That is our bad, for sure for not looking into the specific details. We just joined the parade on a whim, knowing it would end up at a large park somewhere within the city.
My partner and I did not stay here long or see much of the park itself, as much of it was fenced off. We enjoyed the opening show (great sound across the field from the stage) then we headed home.
What we did see of the park, left us with a positive impression. It seems well tended, well planned and it must be a wonderful place to stroll and have picnics when it is not made into a miniature festival.

Read moreTo anybody who wishes to go to a Vingis Park. I would wholeheartedly suggested going there, especially during summer time. It has great "deep in the forest" feeling, which sometimes nice when you want to take a break from fast paced rhythm of a city life.
Well maintained roads for casual stroll, family walk or if you are looking for a joging place or even to go test your new bike. Plenty of space for all those activities, plus many nooks and crannies for those who are inclined to explore more will find plenty to do.
In the center of Vingio parkas you will find "Estrada" a building where many concerts are held, especially during summer.
All in all you should not need a review for a nice park in the middle of a city to go to. Hop into a car, a bike or just walk there and relax while reading a book or just go for stroll.
Recomended for locals, foreigners and tourist alike.
Go take a look and enjoy...
Read moreGreat place if you like outdoor activities. The park is big enough if you want to go for a run or a walk. There is a big open field in a midle of the park with a stage. People there usually play badminton, read a book or simply enjoy the sunny days. It is also possible to rent a bicycle, skateboard or roller skates at the renting office which is besides the stage. Just in case if you get hungry, you can get some snacks from one of the cafeterias around the stage. Keep in mind that you don't have to bring a bottle of water with you if you are planning on exercising. There is a watter system around the center of the park where you can refresh yourself. During the night time the main roads of the park are illuminated so you can easily have a walk...
