Alpaka Trekking — Attraction in Beckerich

I had an amazing experience with the alpaca trekking today! The owner was incredibly kind and very professional.

I went there with a friend and we each got to walk with our own alpaca on a leash, and they were so calm and adorable. The owner took the time to explain so much about the alpacas, their behavior, and their care. He also shared interesting facts about the city and forest we walked through, making it a fun and educational experience.

In the middle of the walk, we took a short break where he kindly offered to take pictures for us and even organized some fresh fruit for us. It really showed how much he cares about creating a great experience for his clients.

My child was invited to a birthday party. At some point she asked me to approach her and asked me to help her with some hay. I help her for about 5 seconds, when the owner calls me aside, and tries to give me a parental lesson, about how I should leave MY CHILD alone. I attempted to say that she asked for me, he answered "I don't want to discuss it!". I told him that there is indeed nothing to discuss, as I will not let anyone shame me for reacting to my child, and I will definitely not ignore my child because he wants me to. I found it all externally rude, and it made me feel very uncomfortable there. I was nervous to interact with my own child afterwards, which is not normal! We visited them twice already. The first time my daughter (4 years) was invited to a birthday party there. They have a special room to celebrate. She absolutely loved it. The second time we booked a trekking tour with the alpacas. Accompanied by the owner, we had an amazing morning, with a lot of explanations over the alpacas and the area around the farm. Very friendly staff. We loved it so much, that we will celebrate our daughter’s birthday there too.

For the trekking experience I recommend outdoor cloths and shoes. At the middle of the tour is a small break, where you get local water and some fruits of the owner.
