there was introduction signs about the monument in 3 languages. also it is actually a good spot for parking, and view point. from here, you can hike or bike on the nearby trails, which has a lot of perks in different seasons.

Its a shame its not a bigger attraction, given its significance. Free parking on site and a sign in 3 languages providing historical context. Shame they didn't rebuild it in the original style. Worth a visit though.

De Obelisk is ter herrinering aan de onafhankelijkheid en herwonnen vrijheid van Luxemburg. Het vervangt het vorige onafhankelijkheidsmonument wat november 1940, tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog door de Duitse bezetter werd gesloopt. Herbouwd op dezelfde plek, voorzien van meer informatie in meerdere talen en biedt een mooi weids uitzicht over de omgeving. Hierbij is een klein park gelegen en de auto kan nabij geparkeerd worden.
