Schoenfels Castle — Attraction in Mersch

Beautifull little castle to look at and walk in the area. Currently ( july 2020) not open because the state intends to open a visitor centre for the Mamer Valley Nature Reserve and offices for the Forestry Administration after restoring...

If it's hot outside and you want to cool down ..go into the cave for 2 minutes and your all cooled down. Nice caves to visit. There is a 9km walk connected to this trail....

Schöner Wanderweg, die Höhlen sind sehr empfehlenswert. Es war ein schöner Zufallsfund. Zum Glück habe ich deswegen immer meine Taschenlampe dabei. Manche Stollen gehn tief in den Berg und manch andere nur ein paar Meter. Die Stollen sind nicht für Menschen mit Klaustrophobie geeignet. Ich bin nicht gerade der größte und trotzdem musste ich manchmal gebügt gehen. Leider habe ich die Höhle nicht ganz erkundet, da ich auch alleine unterwegs war und kein Risiko eingehen wollte.
