The Johanna underground mine tour was fabulous and a great way to experience mining over the centuries. The lighting used as a form of exhibition is brilliant. You get a good sense of the conditions of miners and the sheer volume of slate required and how it is moved around. Fantastic museum on the history of slate mining. The experience of the underground self guided tour is beyond belief. We were by the enormity if the mining that was undertaken.
