Trying to sell below par animal treatment as conservation, it happens all too often. This park is supposed to be a tourist attraction, where they catch wild lemurs to display in tiny cages and small islands. There's crocodiles that are being poked with sticks to get a response, tortoises up for petting and more beautiful animals that should be living in the wild instead of in pens. And the weird thing, the magnificent Lokobe Reserve is just around the corner. I can slightly understand the purpose of a zoo in countries where there's no lions, elephants, lemurs or crocodiles, but I fail to see the point of captivating animals, whilst they freely roam about on the same island...

Read moreI guess this is by far the best place in world where you can enjoy Lemurs jumping on your shoulder, eating from your hand. No matter what age are you, you will enjoy this Lemur sanctuary. There are other animals like snakes, chameleons, various turtles, 250 years old turtle Napolenon, crocodiles, but of course lemurs are the ones you wanna visit this place. I was also able to feed some Lemurs and they were climbing on my arms and shoulders to reach the food but the most important thing is that they are free and no pets. You can't pet them and they are still wild Lemurs. The Park is made with so many lovely details and very natural Environment for the animals. I learned a lot and had an awesome time there. The best: there is no mass-tourism. When I was visiting there were only 2...
