Trying to sell below par animal treatment as conservation, it happens all too often. This park is supposed to be a tourist attraction, where they catch wild lemurs to display in tiny cages and small islands. There's crocodiles that are being poked with sticks to get a response, tortoises up for petting and more beautiful animals that should be living in the wild instead of in pens. And the weird thing, the magnificent Lokobe Reserve is just around the corner. I can slightly understand the purpose of a zoo in countries where there's no lions, elephants, lemurs or crocodiles, but I fail to see the point of captivating animals, whilst they freely roam about on the same island...

Please do not support this and make a wiser choice by going to the Lokobe Reserve. That's where the conservation...

I guess this is by far the best place in world where you can enjoy Lemurs jumping on your shoulder, eating from your hand. No matter what age are you, you will enjoy this Lemur sanctuary. There are other animals like snakes, chameleons, various turtles, 250 years old turtle Napolenon, crocodiles, but of course lemurs are the ones you wanna visit this place. Tour guy was excellent hevreally deserved big tip. At the end of tour you can buy some cold pressed oils which are used for making parfummes by mayor brands like Dior, Lous Vitton etc. In that shop there are also souvenirs. Btw. Bring some bananas for lemurs and try to come in morming hours when tjey are hungry. Tour guy will call them "maki, maki..." and in a sec they will appear on your...

I was a bit skeptical first if it's a good idea to go there because I think animals should not be tourist attractions and be caged but this Park is really really nice. Bertin was the best Guide!! :) He walked with me 2 hours trough the whole park and explained everything to me. I was also able to feed some Lemurs and they were climbing on my arms and shoulders to reach the food but the most important thing is that they are free and no pets. You can't pet them and they are still wild Lemurs. The Park is made with so many lovely details and very natural Environment for the animals. I learned a lot and had an awesome time there. The best: there is no mass-tourism. When I was visiting there were only 2...

Nice “zoo”-like park with lemurs, turtles, tortoises, chameleons and crocs. We did see lemurs and lots of them, with ample photo opportunities, so if you are lucky and get a nice guide and count on spending € 10 pp, you should have a good 5 star- experience. Our guide was a bit grumpy and didn’t add much in knowledge, he was an energy-drainer, I rather would have visited without a guide, but that was not in the cards. (Minus 1.5 stars) Tourists pay 10x more than locals, which I understand in a sense, but 10x feels a bit unfair (-0.5 stars)

Very nice and natural concept. You almost don't feel like in a zoo. Different kinds of animals (crocos, chameleons, lemurs, snakes, turtles) mixed with a botanical tour and a tour through the destillery. Some animals are free and some in cages, either dangerous or since they are not yet integrated into a group. You will have a guide for the tour and can pay him as much as the tour was worth to you. After you have time to stroll around yourself and observe your favourite animals as long as you want.
