Justin was a great guide, and we were thrilled that he found 10 lions on the first night alone. We were able to have a private jeep, though we're not sure if this is always the case. Two nights at the camp was a good amount of time. All the food was amazing, and the staff really listened to our needs, providing gluten-free options that were especially impressive, including fresh bread and muffins daily. We needed an early start on the day of departure, and the staff made it happen seamlessly, keeping everything on schedule. December was a great month (the rains had not yet started this year); we saw a lot of animals and were one of only two groups at the camp. One person in our group was on crutches, and we found the camp very accessible, with good flat/wide walkways, a chair in the shower, and easy entry points on both the jeep...

My wife and I have been here twice and each time it is just lovely. The rooms are excellently appointed and are right along the beautiful river. You can spot wildlife such as hippos, elephants, warthogs, impalas, baboons, crocodiles, etc just from your room which is great. The guides are all excellent and knowledgeable. The food is 10/10. The wildlife is good but just be aware that it is not as robust as say the Serengeti Masai Mara areas, or even South Luanga in Zambia. But the beauty of the this park is really amazing. In saying so, we still saw lions, cheetah, elephants, and lots of other more common animals and we had a great experience once again. Something more unique is that you can go on a river safari in a small boat! We...

First of all, do NOT follow Google Maps to get here, at least as it was providing the route to us on May 30 2023. Google Maps had a route entering through the east side of the park, which is incorrect. The only two ways to access are by 4x4 through the main gate (south entrance of the park) or by boat from the west. You must reserve in advance. It is pricey ($275/pp/day), but all-inclusive and includes two game drives per day. Our guide, Justin, was excellent. Food was excellent quality. Lodging is right...

I had a great stay here and would it be a bit cheaper outside the green season (very good deal here for Malawi residents) I would visitmore often. Very well run place, stunning setting, good wildlife viewing. For safari in Malawi probably the or at least one of the best places. 'Only' four stars as I've been to safari camps in Zambia that outperformed Mvuu just a little bit more in terms of chalet (tree house...), service (e.g. ice tea rather than hot tea before the game drives wouldhave been so good...), food.
