The place is open when there is Rafflesia and tourist don’t understand the importance of this flower and that it’s very existence depends on the habitat. The landowners cannot depend on the availability of the bloom as a life resource but before this flower goes extinct, steps should be taken in showing conservation efforts. This is exactly what the Poring Hot Springs park rangers are doing. As an encouragement, locals are growing fruits as a source of being self sufficient. Paying 30RM for seeing one rafflesia is worth every penny as it’s that rare a flower and if habitat not maintained would be that...

Parked road side and walked across to the ticketing booth. Paid RM20 per person.

It was worth it. The flower takes many months to mature and only blooms for 5 days. There is no particular season in which it will bloom. Take note of the board at the ticketing counter to know how many flowers are blooming.

Managed to see 2 awesome rafflesia. Definitely holds up its title of being the largest flower in the world.

The flowers are fenced up so you won't be able to go near it or touch it (as it is fragile). But you can definitely get a good view of it.

Kudos to the people for working diligently to...

Im fortunate to pass by Adenna Rafflesia Garden on my way back from Poring in mid Oct and there were Two flowers blooming at that time 30cm (1feet) and 45cm (1.5 feet) diameter. As Rafflesia only blooms every 9 months once for 5 days before dying it was fortunate timing to see two of these flowers at the same time. Fees are RM10 for Malaysian and RM30 for foreigners - you can try to negotiate for a slightly lower fee. The flowers were only ~5 mins walk from the main road so worth stopping off you see the banner advertising...

It was a bit of a walk to get to see the flower. Best time to see the flower is when it blooms on the first and second day. It’s amazing to learn about the different stages of how the seed gradually grows and blooms into a big flower. The flower when bloomed only last for 7 days but it takes 9 months to gradually grow. After the flower withers, it will generate a seedling that is a fist size. Recommended to try the fried banana chips that is sold at the ticketing counter for 3RM per pack. Tastes so much better than the ones in town!
