A fantastic cultural immersion with the Kadazandusun tribe!
We had a wonderful time learning about the traditions and daily life of the local indigenous community. The experience was well-organized, with multiple interactive stations and a knowledgeable guide (shoutout to Colleen: hope I spelled that right!) who made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Despite the activities, it never felt overcrowded.
Some of our favorite moments included: 🍽️ Sampling authentic cultural dishes and drinks; yes, even the butod (sago palm weevil larvae)! 🎯 Testing our skills with a blowpipe dart challenge. 🏡 Exploring traditional huts built with different techniques across various eras. 💃 Watching captivating cultural performances. 🍛 Making (and eating!) our very own roti canai with curry chicken.
A big thank you to the team for such a memorable and well-run experience! We highly recommend for anyone looking to connect with Sabah’s...

Read moreBorneo Cultural Village in Papar is a must-visit, just a 30-minute drive from KK town. The ticket price varies for locals and non-locals, but it's well worth it! The admission includes a guided tour (available in English, Bahasa, and Mandarin), a hands-on experience making your own Roti Canai & Curry Chicken, and a buffet lunch. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and really brought the village to life. We loved learning about the different tribes of Sabah, sampling unique foods like sago worms, tapioca, and rice wine, and even trying out a blowpipe and joining in a fun Murut activity! The visit ended with an energetic cultural dance performance. Highly recommended for anyone...
