EXTREMELY UNETHICAL! TOURISTS DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! Do not come and spend money here if you care about the monkeys' well-being and safety at all. We made the mistake of going to see the monkeys on a fellow travellers recommendation and we realise all they get to eat is pancakes with no nutritional quality in them for the monkeys. When i asked the keeper he lied directly to my face and told me they can get their own food and they just come here for the treat. However this is not true the land is owned privately and they use the monkeys to make money and their only source of food are these pancakes because there is not enough for them on private land. One of the monkeys had a big tumour on her neck and none of the keepers did anything about it to help the poor monkey it looked so painful. Read moreThe place was nice and it's great to get so close to nice tempered monkeys. The only thing I will say is that there are signs saying not to touch the monkeys for obvious reasons, but people will be people and some people do not follow this. For this reason I think that a member of staff should monitor the interactions and make sure the rules are followed. If they don't do this then people will continue to prod, and in some instances be mean to the monkeys, at which point they will lose their relaxed attitude with humans. Then people will stop coming.
