When I was back in Miri two weeks ago, I brought my mom for a short beach stop. And we went here, Luak Esplanade, we used to call it Luak Bay. It’s so different now, with ample parking spaces, restroom facilities and nice food stalls. I went around 5pm in the evening, where there are many families around. It’s best to go around that time, 4.30pm to around 6pm, it gets darker faster here in Miri so by 6.30pm, the sun is down. Morning before 9am is fine too, from 10am onwards is gonna be very hot. Oh be wary though, if you’re lucky, you might see a crocodile basking on the beach. They won’t harm you, probably scared of people and will run but just don’t provoke them. Take care of your pets if you’re bringing them to the beach,...

Nice place to catch some beach time, but sadly, there are too many stray dogs there. Could be dangerous. There are no proper rubbish bins, but concrete bin holders are there. Used to have vendors selling all kinds of stuff. Perhaps we were there too early. We got there at 1230 noon time. The council is asking peoplenot to throw rubbish and ask for rubbish to be taken home to be disposed of. The signaga is rather strange as Chinese expression was used "paiseh", would people of other race understand the term or sign targeted at only certain people? Intention of the council may be good, but the delivery is...

this beach offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The gentle waves and scenic backdrop provide a serene atmosphere, while the well-maintained facilities ensure comfort for all visitors. The beach is also great for families, featuring safe swimming areas and ample space for beach games. The beach features many stalls offering a variety of snacks and drinks adding to the convenience and enjoyment of the visit. However, it can get crowded during peak times, so arriving early is recommended for a more tranquil experience. Overall, it’s a stunning destination that promises relaxation and...
