First of all, really appreciate Doris, the kind lady for helping my find my necklace! I lost it at the stables and called them the day after. She personally gave me her contact and sent photos to double confirm and everything. She advised me to call a grab to bring it to my hotel. She is sooo so nice and I really thank her!!! She also recommended us to walk to the end of the stables to see their own paddy field because it was drizzling when we came.
The other staff also made our experience so enjoyable! You can tell they really care for the horses! When they bathe the horses I asked if I can do it too and they let me! They also tell us the horses' names and relationships. Though we can't speak Malay well, they try their best. One staff allowed us to groom a little pony and walk her back to her stable. He even helped us take photos and recorded us haha!
Secondly, the horses themselves are so playful and well taken care of :) Some of them have little face masks to prevent flies from irritating their eyes. Each has their own personality and I've come to love Nazir Alexander, the big friendly giant. He's HUGE!!!!!!! Odyssey and Victoria are also very still for photos. I find it very funny that the donkeys will shiver when you brush your hand gently against their thighs haha they are ticklish.
Don't be scared of them and approach them slowly! If you are bitten it won't hurt that much haha. You can also stick to the little ponies which are so cute!!!! The little black one will stomp his hoof on the ground to beg for more carrots. :)
Third, the price is fine! Entry price is so worth to pet and take photos with about 20 horses, 2 donkeys, 3 cats, and about 2 dogs! A large cup of carrots for 2MYR and the horses will all love you. We couldn't do a guided horse riding because it was raining but it's a reasonable amount of 20+!
Overall is super worth to come here with families and friends. We even saw a wedding photoshoot where the bride and groom rode the horses for photos!
But would say to ensure you have a ride back to the city areas or grab need to wait quite a bit. Doris was quite nice to direct us to a more expensive taxi service of 60/70MYR if we couldn't...
Read moreOpen air stables with plenty of ponies, horses and even a few donkeys in stalls. There is a sign in front of every stall with the name of the animal. Also there's some stray dogs and cats (even a kitten when we went) around. The staff, or "horsemen" (as they are called here) and friendly and helpful, even though they don't seem to speak English that well. You can buy a (rather large) bucket of hay to feed the ponies and donkies (but not the horses) for RM6, which is very cheap. You can also purchase pony or horse rides (if you're below 75kg). The owner of the stables is a foreigner (from a western country) and follows you around when you're riding the horse/pony to take pictures, and he can send you the pictures via WhatsApp (android) or Airdrop (apple). Also part of the riding package, you get to walk a pony and groom a horse if you want. The stable is neater and bigger than when we last went quite a few years ago, and seems to still be expanding. The air doesn't smell bad, it is not too warm (due to many fans), and the ground is generally quite easy to walk on (whether within the stable corridor or on the soil where the horses and ponies walk on). There is also a cafe inside where you can purchase...

Baby refuse to ride and fussy during trial to ride, and then my husband got kicked by pony hoof. 🥲😅 Luckily just outer wound (multiple scratches) and some pain in the bones of the feet. Indian worker (in photo) was furious then he hit the pony, and pony suddenly angry and tries to drop my baby 😅 Shocked but luckily no serious injury. Owner was kind enough to let us refund pony ride since my son is fussy and maybe too small to ride yet.
Only place with REAL White Horse, photography session should charge lesser as competitor only charging RM100-150 per session while they are charging RM250-350. Short ride to seafront area if you able to take horse riding.
