Sand erosion and fixed . There was a time when i am still very young (age 10) , this place was like sandy beaches , coconut tree , hanging hammock and the malay restaurant is made out of wood (rumah kampung) and i do remember the mee goreng (fried noodle) was my favourite . Global warming took a big responsibility for this incident because sea water rises and coconut tree couldn't survive and the sand eroded drastically . Local government take a step to protect punggur and so , they plant cement barrier in front of the beach . Since many years ago , local or tourist didn't go there often as the scenery spoilt and not much activity there .

But still , the feel and view is stunning . And if you are LUCKY enough , you can also witness the sun boil sea water phenomenon (where suset on water) * I manage to catch 2 times in my life * i will share the pic...

This visit was a random plan, since nothing much in Pontian Kecil, we drove all the way to Rengit, Batu Pahat without realizing it as we left Pontian kecil via the kampung main road. When we Google place of interest nearby the traveling path, we came across this Beach, we made a stop for Sunset, and as you witness in the photos, the Sunset was covered with gray clouds so, no nice views but I can assure you if the weather permits, it would have been magnificent Sunset.

There's a food stall next to the beach, when I was here, the buffer zone is still on construction.

No harm visiting, it's worth your IG...

Located at kampung punggur laut,Cant quite call it a recreational beach because therr is no recreational fascility, besides that, construction of wave barrier is still on going at its seaside. Thus the location is not really safe for recreational activities. There is a few stalls and public toilet that was build to cater visitors nearby. From here you can see a river (Sungai Punggor) which connecting south china sea and the peninsular. Although this place is at seaside, the wind here is not that strong so it is suitable for outdoor activity if the place is manage and develop...

If you're looking for a nice quiet beach with few visitors then this is it. The downside is there was a lot of garbage an debris scattered about. But you could still find clean areas to park it an relax. If you approach from the road there is a small hike down a paved path to an unpaved path to get to the beach

Such a calm and peaceful beach side which combines with the river as well. Fisherman village and not many people even In weekends . Toilets not available . Very nice place for picnics . Restaurants building are there but nobody selling anything.
