I decided to climb up at 5am expecting crowd over the weekend.. surprisingly i was the only person hiking through the pitch black forest..It was an errie experience and had to wait for wild boar crossings all.. Luckily I got the expensive torch light from the lady at the entrance for RM10 it helped alot to trek alone. Half way through it started to get cold and I had to rest for a while. The path was challenging but doable..one might struggle without proper fitness levels specially before the summit. As there was no rain the previous day the path was not slippery and was a piece of cake.. Reaching the summit under the starry sky was breathtaking.. literally 😅 Had a short nap over the huge rocks.. the sound of the forest was oddly calming..by 7am there was 100+ humans already up with me waiting for the sunrise. Decided to decend early after witnessing the crowd surprisingly the path which was not slipper during my climb was now with water and all the morning dew settled down.. the climbing down became so much of a challenge with new slippey obstacles plus the crowd climbing up on the same path making it even more difficult. I would strongly suggest ppl to start their trek at 5am and start down immediately after 7am. God knows how slippery and crowded the path might get after so much foot fall. 30-45mins to climb up with good fitness levels.. 30-45 mins to trek down if there is no crowd. There are two paths, one is paid and another is free.. I was able to take the paid path at free of cost cos nobody was there to check at 5am. Next time I have to try the free route. This place is infested with wild boars. Trek alone with care. Don't depend on your trekking stick it's just another added unnecessary weight. The path is filled with ropes to help you. Having good shoe is mandatory one slight slip could injure your ankle....

On the top area there's no trees, only a sea of lalang (long coarse grass) that makes it a nice place to see the scenery unfold around the hill... It takes 30-45 minutes/3 km ++ (one way) to reach the hilltop with the climb steep at some parts. From the grassy plateau you can see the stunning views over the Kuala Lumpur skyline and the surrounding valleys. The place can get packed on weekend, it's best attemped of sunrise to enjoy and see the spectacular view. Definitely worth it... You also can hike up through the jungle trail strenuous to Gunung Tok Wan (675m/asl), the steep mountain that lies beyond the trail of Bukit Broga. At the top of the mountain you're be able to admire the spectacle of Broga Hill and the town of...

Three peaks, one sunrise, and a hundred strangers pretending not to race each other to the top. The trail? A dusty staircase built by erosion and ambition. Don’t worry, the grass will cushion your fall.. and your pride.
At the summit, golden light spills over a sea of clouds and oil palm estates, and for one brief moment, you feel like a majestic sweaty potato on top of the world.
BYO bug spray, water, and emotional support. Bonus points if you bring a coconut for post‑hike hydration or a friend who complains louder than you do.
Five stars ⭐️ because where else can you reevaluate your weekend decisions before 7am and still make it back in time...
