National Science Centre Northern Region — Attraction in Kedah

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Parking is limited, had to park outside and walk in. Quite many people on that day as it is a weekend.

Things to take note: it is under renovation, so the entrance has been shifted temporarily to the side stairs. Not so convenient for those with strollers or wheelchair. Cannot bring water bottles and food inside. Have to place them at the table near the entrance. Bring socks. There is a small play area for less than 12 y/o inside, but only can go in if you wear socks. there is a small convenient store near the ticketing area, can buy some snacks & drinks there.

The washroom is quite new now. And the outdoor playground is under renovation, should be completed in a month's time according to the staff.

Some of the things inside is not functioning, hope that they will get them repaired soon.

The lightings inside should be improved. Some areas should be brighten up.

Will be back next year when...

Worst experience for my 1st time visit here, very very bad Counter replied they are closed at 5pm and we purchase the ticket. After we had play around 10-15minute, direct cut off the light when visitors still inside and without informing. Then we ask the people who worked inside and they said they closed 420pm during Puasa period. Many facilities are broken! What the heck for this and what for we purchasing the ticket only go in for 10min? Suppose have to informed before customer purchasing the ticket! We still asked the ticket counter before we purchased and they like hide the closed time and let customer purchase first!

Not recommend for this and really sucks service. Honestly,...

One of the wonderful interesting places for curious kids to explore and spend their time with so many different gadgets and gizmos displayed at the center. Located at a quite remote area near Gunung Keriang, people will never know its existence as captivating at all. However the responsible organisers make such great effort to promote this place and we can see the results how people flock over to this place every holiday. Just hope they will continue with the promotion and most of all, FIX the broken science displays that only appear with out-of-order cards. It's a great disappointment for them not to be able to try and discover what those broken...
