Puncak Janing Waterfall — Attraction in Kedah

Visited Puncak Janing Waterfall and it was such a peaceful escape into nature. The water was crystal clear and refreshing, flowing gently over smooth rocks. I took a moment to stack some stones into a little fountain like pile a small mark of my visit, blending into the calm stream. You can actually see it in the photo I took! 🤭

However, I did notice that monkeys had pulled some trash out of bins, which made parts of the area look messy. I took some time to clean up what I could. Just a reminder to all visitors, please throw away your rubbish properly. And if you see litter lying around, don’t hesitate to pick it up it’s a shared space, and we all play a part in keeping it beautiful.

Puncak Janing Recreational Forest is located in the Bukit Perangin Forest Reserve. It is located approximately 50km from Alor Setar via the road from Jitra to Kuala Nerang. It is rich in flora and fauna and has waterfalls and rivers that flow along the recreation area.

The 1.5 km long Janing River has its unique areas that are suitable for bathing, picnicking and relaxing. The uniqueness of this area is brightened by 4 levels of attractive waterfalls with stretched rocks and environmental greenery from natural trees. The scenery is breathtaking.

You can relax with family and friends here. a place like this is very comfortable because it is decorated with beautiful flora and fauna. You can definitely get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax...

Just went there 3 days ago. Not many visitors came. The place is deteriorating, how unfortunate as the surrounding forest seems so pristine. No shops opened during the day. The closest grocery store is a bit far. But when there are no people.. you'll get privacy at the expense of safety. You can smell the toilets far away. This place has potential to be developed.
