Jeram Mak Nenek — Attraction in Kelantan

An unforgettable experience I must say.

Just took about 20-30 minutes drive from Kota Bharu, but once u arrive at Selising own, scenic route of green paddy field and hills will take your mind off everything.

Calming views and tranquil sound of the water stream, you'll have a total relaxation swimming and sleeping here. The waters are crystal clear you can see fishes swimming around your feet giving you relaxing foot spa. And who says you cannot snorkel in small river. If you have the snokel set bring it on.

Plenty of space around, but very few suitable area if you are bringing your own tent.

The areas are relatively clean, but few irresponsible rubbish are around, what if we pick it up and take it to the bin?

Public toilet are available...1 star cleanliness rating. 50 cent per use.

Public surau is also available. Looks hot though.

Moderately good place to come. Can enjoy a little bit of nature here. The journey coming to this place is very interesting though. You will come across cow farms and you can feel a bit like New Zealand.

But when you arrive there, all I can say is that hygiene is a MAJOR problem. Trashes are everywhere. You can even see trashes in the river. Used diapers, underwears and clothes are been left and thrown everywhere. That is why the Ministry of Health had warned about health hazards here. It is because of our attitudes!

Jeram Mak Nenek - Located in Selising, Pasir Puteh District, Kelantan Darul Naim, Malaysia. Nowadays this place familiar known as Jeram Mengaji. The ordinary view, small rapid with the shallow water and just suitable for kids to take a dip/water activities. Not as expected, 'indah khabar dari rupa'.
