Tam Durian Farm Campsite&Cafe — Attraction in Malacca

Not a pleasant experience of this campsite!

There are many good reviews via social media platforms and makes me have a high expectations on this campsite. As some bloggers mentioned that Zone C is more peaceful than Zone A&B. In fact, it depends on that day booking. There was a company event (team building) on the day which makes the place too noisy until midnight and early in the morning 🤬🙃 I'm not sure who is the owner (few reviews mentioned the owner is kind, friendly...) but the PIC of the Zone shall be responsible to remind them to volume down after 11pm. Suggest if they would like to have a team building or event, kindly reset a place for them or move their campsite to another zone only for themselves.

The PIC of the zone did not brief us anything including rules of campsite when we arrived. So we took some lamps which put in public for use (PIC & staffs not around when dawned) then the PIC came back and question us in bad manner why we took it by ourselves🙃

The spaces in between tents were too densely as opposite talking or laughing, the next few tents able to listen clearly and quite annoying.

The BBQ food portions quite small and just few ingredients only. If you are big eater, please prepare more food ingredients for BBQ by yourselves even they provided some dishes like fried rice, noodles, chickens, etc.

Only 1st bathroom had the water heater and the others no. Water pressure in the bathroom was quite weak.

If without the bunch of monkeys noise, this place should be quite good just needed to make improvements...

Environment 环境 is good for relax and chill 4 ⭐️ but if the floor can be real grass or change to something not that wet will be better , can understand due to rainy day whole week but might be can better

Tent 帐篷 5⭐️ Condition is fine , air con all good although no much entertainment but it’s fine for ppl find back the happy together moment .

Toilet 4.5 ⭐️ Is clean

Food 食物 The 5:30 Buffet 2 ⭐️

Bad experience because 5:30 can start take food before 6 most of choice or food are finish and they said that’s all they have no more refill , I think they have to get the better planning for buffet… if name buffet should be something prepare well for customer not tell us ohh finish and more more refill in 30 min only , we whole group 2 tent have 14 person half of us haven’t get anything yt … at the end we are just sharing who get initially … if this is the case better informed ppl earlier or prepare better

7:30 BBQ time 3.5 ⭐️ As the lady owner Told us the bbq food all is unlimited refill, I think they just use to comfort us … some of the choices was finish also within half and hour …

Example Satay : they said no more and i only take few in early time

Next day breakfast 8:30 3.5 ⭐️ Same case happened, since last night we are worry on not enough food dy , within 30 min food also finish ! Some say will prepare again but most no refill any more …

Better prepare well for the food la … come in here the only bad experience is this ! And told us no more refill...

Location wise easy to find, there is a short cut to the place instead of taking Gmap standard route. After turning off the main road, take the fourth left turn and then let G map guide you from there on.

Tents are a big tad too near though. A metre apart or coziness factor ? Take your pick !

In the event of heavy shower, you are at nature's mercy.

Just a courtesy call, so can't say much on the experience.... But Mr. T; the proprietor claims that it's beautiful at night with the lights adding a Parisian touch or romance in the air. I tend to agree, WHOLE heartedly. Concept wise, I have to give 5 stars.

After reading other reviews, please do not book during peak seasons of heavy booking weekends, school holiday season, a large entourage like a company family day outing or corporate motivation camp functions... The owner or booking agent handling the booking should forewarned you that your booking date coincides with another large group booking as the campsite is not conducive for big events. So to avoid all the heartaches, (n 'pening pening'), head shaking incidents, do pop this question tactfully to enjoy the tranquility of glamping...instead of...
