It was one of a great experience. First time trying and the experience is the best. Highly recommended! Even we have postponed this for 3 years. Bought the ticket much earlier before covid and finally materialised on 19 March 2023.
The organizer was supercool and sempoi. The guide, Mummy and Kak Shiha is the best.
The organizer really put efforts to remind us on Pre-event ( things to prepare and bring) and the information was good reference. During the day, they handle the safety briefing and introduction. And during the activity, they really make sure that we are safe and always feel safe going thru all the obstacles in the cave.
Will definitely repeat again in the future with RNR Adventures.
Tips and tricks: Small group is the best to go for this kind of activity. Headlamps (You can also rent from the organizer) Wear proper shoes that is suitable for water activity (95% you will be in the water). Read morenothing i had experience before. fitting into tight, damp, cold and dark places. From check points 1 till 24 took almost 5 hours. Climbing through rocks with strong heavy waterfall flow was tough but not impossible. You just need to fight the urge to give up and flex your body abit.
🚧Strong advice 🔹Wear tight fitting clothes and wear extra(double layer) 🔹Eat proper meal an hour before the activity. It will be cold and hungry. 🔹Avoid bringing drybag but if you have to then the guides will advise you how to move between the rocks so that the bag wont make you stuck between rock. You wouldn't want to stuck while underwater because of the bag. 🔹do not wear sport shoes or sandals. Its hard for your feet to groud yourself on the strong river flow. The guides wore those cheap rubber shoes which often sold at the hardware shops. People always call it ' kasut toreh getah'. 🔹you will bruise on knees and elbows so you can bring some extra guard to protect these areas. just make sure the guard doesn't slow down your movement. 🔹 bring your own water resistant headlamp or rent with the guide 🔹bring gloves with rubber grip so that you could grip and hold the rocks better 🔹leave your car keys and valuables with the guides. You don't want to lost those things under the strong current. Even with your drybag ,the water still can sip...
