First of all, the Waze app will bring you to the gate that is closed. And they expect you to read a small sign that asked you to use Google map to enter the farm thru another way.
When we reached, we were greeted by a couple where we were asked we can only parked our car outside the compound.
Once we entered the farm (we bought 3 packets of food to feed the Ostrich), surprisingly we got a shock when we found out they have also released the goats out in the wild. Hence, my children who are really young (7-12 years of age) we're intimidated by the goats and one of them was only definitely taller than my kids. So they were rushing and going after the food like hungry animals. I was taken aback and I did try to ask the owner or keeper of the farm to get the goats back to where they belong, but the guy said it's still not time yet to asked the goats to go back in.
There were around 4-5 ostriches on both sides of us. I felt we were being attacked. Hence, I have no choice but to throw all the feeds on the ground so that the animals will just leave us alone.
Instead of showing my kids how are these ostriches being brought up and live, we end up leaving in around 10-15 mins of our stay.
P.S. It started drizzling while this was happening. Hence, I felt it could be a God's sign that I should leave the place immediately with my family.

Read moreIt’s a sad place where everything is run down and shabby. We came here hoping for a fun experience but it’s just a few ostriches and emus. They charge RM8 per person and give each a packet of dried corn kernels which you can use to feed the ostriches. When we were there, the goats and cows were back at their sheds so we didn’t see any of these animals. After 10 minutes of feeding the ostriches we walked over to a shack where a friendly Indian man started telling us about the ostriches. He was also selling ostrich oil derived products like hair growth spray and all purpose cream for skin. The shack was so decrepit and had seen better days. I left wondering why we don’t have higher quality standards for our domestic tourism? I didn’t feel I got any value from the visit!
Update: Surprisingly, despite the sad state of affairs at the ostrich farm, the highlight of the trip was the ostrich oil that I bought. It works really well on scars and is quite moisturizing and you can see its effects after 3-4 days of application. They do sell their oil on Shopee and my sister did order a few more bottles of the ostrich oil about a...
Read moreIt was a nice experience to drive into this area from the town. The ‘farm’ is situated within the compound of State Veterinary, also quite a bit to see here.
The ostrich farm is about the size of 10 football fields. The place is green and serene. RM 10 for adult is considered cheap.
We spent almost 2 hours here. We fed the goats and ostriches, we stand on the ostrich eggs to experience the strength of the egg ourself. We then watched other patrons riding the ostrich (pity!). We then walked a-bit to see an arrogant pony/horse. Then watched ostrich race (bit lame). Made U-turn to exit, and visited the souvenir shop.
Parking can be little difficult during peak as the space is very limited with no designated parking. The crew members are good, they are committed to what they do. Overall, it was a...
