Being a non-hiker, this is the mountain I ever climbed and I felt excited before I knew what awaited me during the climb with a height of 885m. It took about 2hrs journey from Kuala Lumpur to Rembau and we reached the parking area around 9.30am. The parking spaces all occupied and I guess there will a lot of people at the top.
Once you are ready, do ensure you go to the toilet first as they will be no toilet on the way up, LOL. The entrance fees (RM5) and you can pay it at the counter once you cross the small bridge. Regular hikers will describe the hike is manageable but for me, being a first timer, it was so difficult though it is only 6 km in distance. I almost make a U-Turn since I don’t think I can do it. But while am writing this, I kinda miss to come again to visit this place :)
The surface is steep and rocky and you have to be extra careful. The proper hiking shoes is crucial and since I don’t have any gloves, I got few scratches while climbing up. We took 2.5hrs to climb up and 2hrs to go down. Since it is foggy and cloudy, you can’t have a perfect view of Pekan Rembau from the hill top. It is quite windy and cold and thus, please be extra careful and don’t forget to carry down your own rubbish #saveourforest. If u are climber,u can go as single climber or by group,doesn't matter but the most important is your energy. There is a track to get to the top and also got information board at starter. Makesure follow the red white tape or if u see yellow plastic tape then it will lead u to the right track. Makesure wearing a suitable attire during climbing or in the jungle.U know what I mean. U can see any insect in the jungle at anytime is it?. Wear proper shoes,pants,and bring some water during climbing. It will take about 2 hours to get to the top and somewhat less when u get down. There also have the facilities such as chalets for stay, camping sites, also got tent for rent. Entrance fee starting from rm5 depends on how many people.The moment u get to the top will be unforgettable moment where u can see very good view which is also can see the straits of Malacca...
