When I visited Penyu Gergasi at Pantai Tanjung Pelindung in Kuantan, I was honestly stunned—it was so much bigger than I expected. The mural looks almost alive, blending so well with the rocks that for a moment you’d think a real giant turtle had washed up on the beach. It’s an incredible piece of art, and seeing it in person is way more impressive than in photos.

The whole area has such a relaxing vibe. There are lots of rocks to climb onto where you can just sit, chill, and enjoy the sea breeze while listening to the sound of waves crashing in. The scenery is really beautiful, especially if you’re into photography—the mural itself is obviously a great backdrop, but the coastline and views around it make for stunning pictures too.

What I liked most was the atmosphere. The sand here is fine and soft, the water looks clean, and the winds are cooling, so it feels like a perfect spot to just unwind for a while. There are also some small food stalls around, which adds to the experience—you can grab a snack or a drink and spend more time soaking in the surroundings.

Overall, Penyu Gergasi isn’t just a mural—it’s a whole vibe. The combination of impressive art, natural scenery, and a chill seaside atmosphere makes it a great place to visit, whether you just want to relax, take photos, or enjoy a peaceful moment...

This beach has incredible potential with its powdery white sand and crystal clear waters. However, the lack of maintenance is heartbreaking - litter scattered around, broken facilities, and zero amenities despite the stunning natural assets. It's clear the local authorities aren't capitalizing on what could be a prime eco-tourism spot.

What's needed: Regular cleaning schedules and proper waste bins Basic amenities (clean toilets, shaded areas) Eco-friendly commercial options (beach cafes, rental shops) Better promotion as a tourist destination

With some investment and proper management, this could be a top-tier beach destination. Right now, it's a beautiful but frustrating example of...

The Giant Turtle at Pantai Pelindung is truly a breathtaking landmark! 🐢🌊 It beautifully represents the spirit of the beach and is a perfect spot for photos. The sculpture is massive, detailed, and very well crafted — a real attraction for both locals and tourists. The surrounding beach is calm and peaceful, making it a great place to relax, enjoy the sea breeze, and appreciate nature.

This spot is not just about the giant turtle but also about the atmosphere — clean, refreshing, and welcoming. A must-visit if you’re in Kuantan. Perfect for families, friends, or anyone who loves the ocean and its majestic...
