Mengkuang Dam is undoubtedly the place to go for family walk-abouts , sports enthusiasts and health conscious individuals. I go there for my daily brisk walk at preciously 7.00am and frequently end my walk by 8.30am...... after this time period, you will "experience" the scorching sun (for extra vitamin D or skin tan ...if you know what i mean). Visitors can not only experience the vast body of bluish-green water but also the oxygen rich surrounding with its lush vegetation on rugged hilly areas. Unfortunately, the only drawback from this picturesque haven is that visitors can no longer physically touch the vegetation nor its pool of water. In the past, Mengkuang Dam had vegetation on both sides of the walking track/ trail 👣, public toilets, a dragon boat pit, an aerobic dance area, etc etc but since its recent "renovation" the only track that remains for visitors to enjoy is made of concrete and tar . You can no longer feed the fishes too. If you need to urinate or answer other calls of nature, be REALLY sure you can make it to the ONLY public toilet located at the entrance of the dam. Read moreFree parking. Huge place with beautiful scenery with the view of hill and sunset. Please come on windy time because here don't have any shed and open area. Suitable for jogging, brisk walk and bringing kid but please bring water in hot season. Bring children please make sure with your own risk. Not suitable for women with small kids, pregnancy, old folks & OKU because the entrance and the dam extremely very far. In my opinion, Management can use caddy or tramp as transportation for old folk, OKU and pregnant women who want also enjoy the scenery. If you charge RM1 per head per trip already acceptable. Huge area to parking on top but it was a waste because it close for any transportation. You may put toitoi toilet on top if any passenger/jogger need it at any time...
