A Scenic Stop Worth Making
On our journey down from Cameron Highlands via the Tapah route, we decided to stop by Lata Iskandar, and it proved to be a lovely little stop.
The time you spend here really depends on what you’re after. If it’s just for a few photos and to enjoy the view, 15 to 30 minutes will suffice. However, if you’re planning to dip your feet in or explore a little more, you could easily stay longer. There is no entrance fee required for now.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially during peak times, as there’s no designated parking area; just roadside spots. Do be careful when stopping because the roads are generally narrower.
One of the charms of this location is the abundance of local stalls lining the road. Many of the items sold are handmade, and it’s a good opportunity to browse for souvenirs or local snacks. Public toilets are also available at some of these stalls, generally charging RM1 per use.
The waterfall itself is quite stunning and definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just for a short toilet break and to take in the scenery. Highly recommended if you’re using the Tapah route down from...

Read moreAmazing place if you are in for a quick dip in chilling waterfall. The size of the place is good enough to accommodate large families (though depends on holiday season). The water is cold as ice, given that Lata Iskandar is situated at halfway to Cameron Highlands. The environment is clean enough, though frequent waste bin cleaning will be better. There are road side stalls selling light food like cempedak goreng, pisang goreng and heavy meal like nasi lauk and goreng-goreng. However, do note that vehicle parking is the biggest concern here as there is no dedicated parking area. One has to park at the road side along the way. This causes massive traffic jam along the way.
P/s: Do try this road side stall that serves awesome Nasi Goreng biasa but includes udang and ayam bits. The same goes for their New Goreng and Kuey Teow...
