GoChin Tambun Pomelo Agro Farm, located in Tambun near Ipoh, is a family-owned establishment with over 20 years of history. Spanning approximately 7.3 hectares, the farm is renowned for producing large, juicy, and sweet pomelos, a quality attributed to the region's limestone-rich soil and underground water sources.

Visitor Experience

Visitors are welcomed to explore the farm free of charge, with well-maintained walking paths guiding them through the orchards. The farm not only cultivates pomelos but also grows other fruits such as guavas and starfruits. The friendly staff and owners are often on hand to provide educational tours, sharing insights into pomelo cultivation and the farm's history.

Product Offerings

At the on-site shop, guests can purchase freshly harvested pomelos and other local fruits directly from the orchard. The farm also offers pomelo-based products, including aromatic sprays and essential oils. Notably, the farm's pomelos have gained recognition for their exceptional sweetness, even being featured in Chef Wan's exclusive Business Class menu for Qatar Airways.

Operating Hours and Accessibility

The farm operates daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Given its location outside of Ipoh town, visitors are advised to drive or use ride-sharing services to reach the farm. For larger groups, hiring a van service is recommended.

Visitor Feedback

Reviews highlight the farm as a worthwhile destination, especially for those interested in agro-tourism and local produce. Visitors appreciate the informative tours, the opportunity to see fruit-bearing trees up close, and the chance to purchase high-quality pomelos directly from the source. The farm's commitment to education and quality produce makes it a notable attraction in the Ipoh area.

In summary, GoChin Tambun Pomelo Agro Farm offers an engaging and educational experience for visitors, combining the charm of a family-run operation with the opportunity to enjoy and purchase premium...

A Must-Visit Spot for Fruit Lovers!

Tambun Pomelo GoChin Agro Farm is a hidden gem in the heart of Tambun! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a chance to explore their lush orchards. The farm is incredibly well-maintained, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into ensuring top-quality produce.

The highlight, of course, is their pomelos! We had the opportunity to taste different varieties, and each one was juicy, sweet, and bursting with flavor. On top of that, they also grow guava and jackfruit, which are equally fresh and delicious. It’s a real treat for anyone who loves tropical fruits.

They also explained the process of growing and harvesting their fruits, which made us appreciate them even more. Beyond the orchard, they offer a charming farm shop with products like pomelo tea and snacks—perfect as souvenirs or gifts. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting.

This place is not just about buying fruits; it’s an experience. I’d highly recommend it for families, tourists, or anyone looking to enjoy authentic Malaysian fruits. Definitely...

I would not call this a "farm" in the traditional sense—it felt more like a small area that you can walk around in less than 20 minutes. Besides pomelos, there are a few other local fruits available.

The experience was mostly self-service, as no staff approached or guided us. There were three staff members present, but they were focused on assisting customers buying pomelos. If you're looking for a more interactive experience or a sharing session, you might need to request it, or perhaps it’s reserved for those making purchases.

We bought a pomelo and some homemade pomelo skin snacks, which were quite good. The auntie selling guavas was very friendly and approachable, which was a pleasant surprise.

One downside is the limited parking space, so it can be a bit challenging...
