Timah Tasoh Dam JPS Perlis — Attraction in Perlis

Timah Tasoh Dam JPS Perlis is the northernmost man-made reservoir in Perlis, about 17 kilometers away from the capital city of Kangar.

It was built in 1987, covers an area of 1,300 hectares, and can hold about 35.3 million liters of water at a time. It serves various purposes such as improving the irrigation system of rice fields, providing water to the people of the state, and serving as a water catchment area to prevent floods. Its name comes from the two rivers that flow into the lake - Sungai Timah and Sungai Tasoh.

YOU CAN‘T GET NEAR to see the dam HERE ! It's true that the dam is located here but you can't stop by to see any view. =^ = It's gated. The best place to enjoy the beautiful view of the dam and lake is at Terinai Lake View Cafe or Persatuan Pelayaran Negeri Perlis.
