Chagar Hutang is a turtle sanctuary ran by staff and interns. They monitor the eggs laid by turtles so that the baby turtles have the highest chance of survival. They also guide the volunteers who went there on how conservation was done. This includes hard work like night patrols. There is basic accommodation (rooms with no fan / aircon) and volunteers are expected to take care in housekeeping matters such as cooking and sweeping.
