DARVEL LAGOON HAMPILAN — Attraction in Sabah

The people of Sabah, Tawau district and nearby areas are very lucky because they still have a valuable leisure location that can afford the entrance ticket. I've been here at around 8am, the sea was at high tide but the depth of the sea was only about 4 ½ feet. The bathing area is marked so that only those allowed to bathe. Safety jackets are available for visitors (children & adults) if they do not know how to swim. The covered jetty area is complete with chairs & tables and there is a place for BBQ. Also has a food shop if visitors do not bring their own food. Entrance ticket price RM1 for children, RM2 for adults, FOC...

If you're looking for crystal clear water for swimming or snorkeling, you can found it here if you lucky, but most of the time the sea is cloudy but the cleanliness is acceptable. The owner charge reasonable fee for entry and they allow us to use their floating gazebo on the water. Depends on water tide level children can swimm safely, but if the tide is high my advice use lifebuoy. The owner also Installed net around swimming area so I can say this place is safe...

Great place for family outing. Kids would love to swim and there is a banana boat which cost RM40 for 4 person. The entrance fee is only RM1 per person. You can bring your own food or just order there. This place about 10 km from Kunak Junction. The most important thing, the toilet is clean! Just not enough parking space when public holiday coz this place...
