Madai Recreation Forest — Attraction in Sabah

The cave is really great. However the administration could be better. The ticket price of RM25 per person is way too expensive even for local. Expect a below average natural environment instead of tourism-based insfra. For nature lover this is a great place to get an insight of the million years nature cave. Full of bird and bat dropping of course with the smell of ammonia all over the place. There is a very clear water stream nearby too. Slipeery walk. And torch light is definitely recommended...

This R&R is a good place to rest while driving along the road frm Lahad Dati to Tawau/Semporna. It used to be great but it has maintenance problems. The suspension bridge oberlooking the waterfall is not safe anymore. They have closed the wooden steps going down to the river, too.

However, there is news that it is going to be a tourist info hub within 2020, and maintenance will be carried out before May 2020. Hopefully, it will be...
