There is honestly not a lot to see or do here. There’s a nice river, and a couple hundred yards of walking path along the river, but that is really the highlight. Really the highlight is guided trips out of here up to Mount Kinabalu. I was surprised by the men’s restroom. It is huge, super clean, and there are living plants decorating the room. It may be the nicest toilet I’ve ever been in. At least you don’t have to worry about public toilets up here. I walked through the park a little bit, then I walked back down the road through the town. All in all it was a nice visit. There is at least one suspension bridge in the park. Read moreI enjoyed the peaceful lush surroundings during my stay at Serinsim Substation but struggled with the poor network which made communication difficult. The hike to Mt. Nambuyukong was incredibly challenging, making it my first and last hike here due to its difficultly. I regretted not training enough beforehand but it was an unforgettable experience that offered a deep sense of accomplishment.

Read moreTruly a haven for nature lovers. The river is this stations, piece to resistance. If you want a retreat from the outside world, this is the place to be. Like or not, as of writing this review, there's no cellular reception here. You get to truly immerse yourself in the moment with the company you bring. The changing facilities are adequate and there are several roofed structures beside the river where you can plonk down and have a barbeque. Bring your own briquettes.
