Jong's Crocodile Farm — Attraction in Sarawak

Huge place with so many crocodiles. Some cages weren't tagged or signed so I didn't know if the crocodiles are of different species.

It's way bigger than the melaka crocodile farm which I've been to. There's a huge fish farm as well.

There's other animals too, like otters, goats, pigs. The crocodile feeding session seems to fancy most of the tourists.

There's snacks sold at affordable pricing and saw a family snapping pictures with a baby crocodile so maybe you can ask for that.

As usual they'll take your pictures at the entrance. Looks abit tacky in the end with computer graphics but something for sweet memories. Rm60 per set of 3 at time of writing.

Parking is ample. Can buy tickets on the spot.

One star less because I feel there should be more effort in making the place an interactive education experience. Staff should be placed at every area to educate the public. Just putting some signs with information is just half baked work.

You can spend at least 2 hours there with your kids and best to come here once you arrive at the airport or before you leave because it's away from Kuching main city. There's 2 feeding shows so check the time before coming so you...

Have visited Jong's Croc Farm numerous times since the early 90s. Took note of many improvements/changes at the farm over the decades. Good to see them finally doing away with the "Sarawakian only" price (I'm a Sarawakian myself but I find that policy to be highly discriminatory) and replacing it with a less-controversial "Malaysian/Foreigner" pricing system. Also happy that they accept e-wallet payments (hate bringing cash around + only got BSN and RHB bank at Siburan, always massively long queues). Crocodiles are plentiful as always. Much much cleaner compared to the 90s and 2000s, but flies are a constant problem not only at Jong but the entire Siburan/Kota Padawan area. My kids enjoyed visiting the farm. They loved feeding the huge fishes in the pond too. Bought some souvenirs too (all Jong's products). One area that needs attention is the fence, as I noticed some were rusted and crocodiles were chilling out near it. A great place for a day trip , short escape from city to learn and explore about animals. i believe there is room to improve, my pov as An Animal Management Background practitioner and animal lover. Few comments as below for more sustainable revenue maker business for livestock , wildlife management:

Maintenance of pathway cleanliness, safety purpose Natural imitations set up for captive animals. Correct diet for fishes (eg: arapaima), do not feed with bread as this will trigger for yeast infection.however, fresh fishes were given also but visitors are freely to give bread as provided. Spotted one of arapaimas with tumor. Advisable to have specialized unit eg: vet and assistance vet or someone with relevant background. Suggest for 3R concept of waste management. Invest for commercial voice over for pre record sound for informations sharing as your place is visited by various citizenship and background. eg: informing feeding time, proper languages, standard information.
