Sarawak State Library — Attraction in Sarawak

Lol last month I went there at 9am mok booking k pukul 1pm then staff ya pdh "oh mun mok make pkl 1pm ktk kena dtg pkl 12:30pm, tok konsep 1st come 1st serve" then kmk dtg lagik dalam pukul 10:30 AM mok booking kol 11am and the same staff pdh "oh bilit dah full" without say sorry or what and I explain all yang nya pdh dtg 30 minutes earlier and her face just like oh idc then I still debate about it and still cannot... After that i also walk around those room we usually guna if ada booking and guest what? 11AM ya literally nang SIKDA ORANG LANGSUNG until 2PM kdk ya baruk ada org masuk ya pun akhir... Just want to ask la.. Selama tok okk jak kmk mok booking awal apahal tok tiba2 30 minutes earlier la 1st come 1st serve la or u just reserve it earlier for ur relative or friends etc??? If yes then... Come on laa sikkan la mok booking room dekat pustaka tok pun mok pake cable..?! Org lain boleh bah tunggu pa suma utk booking & come earlier to make the reservation sikkan la u don't want to do that and decided to use cable and so on? Come la berik malu jak ehh asya keep saying oh u can try at 1pm if ada bilit kosong then still same answer bilit dah full then repeat the same thing oh u can come la 2.30pm to check and the result still the same.. I also debate that oh this room until 12.30pm pm jaa means after that kosong la bilit ya and u give stupid answer "oh nya mok extand sampei ptg tapi bayar sikit2 sbb nya x pasti mok extand sampe ptg ka x" lol ada ka kdk ya? Dah la time ya rami org mok guna bilit k belajar and so on but jadi kdk tok? Pls la ambik tindakan...

A great library in Kuching, environment is so comfortable to study and work. A cafe is operating there where you can grab a bite when you want. The short of the building is the air-cond is very very very cold. I wore a jacket and still shiver till unable to do anything. If you are going to stay there for a long time I would really suggest you to bring a thick jacket. The wifi can be used by log in your Sarawak Id but you can only access it with one device at a time. Toilet is located outside the library as well so you need some distance to go there. Car park is not too occupied at morning and noon but it is compacted during evening because many people came for exercising outside the library which is a garden of sort. Overall I would say that this library is suitable for students but it is a little bit far away from...

Not sure who is in charge here but currently only a few seats come with charging options for laptops.

They actually closed off a section upstairs so there are very limited tables for those who really need to get work done on their laptop.

At the same time, sometimes the place can be noisy with some teenagers or university/college students having so called study related 'discussions' at the table.

Not sure what the librarians are doing.Do they even read our reviews??

Downstairs is worse if you need to charge your laptop.

Updated:You can see that their responses to reviews is all standard. Not sure sure whether they even act on it. We want them to have more charging options for patrons and to ensure those school kids or university students keep...
