Came here for a getaway from the busy cat city of Kuching which is only about 45 minutes drive away. Do come here to enjoy the beautiful sunset across a wide bay. If you're lucky, you may spot some sea creatures like crab, starfish, hermit crab and many more. Pros - Less than an hour's drive from Kuching - Wide beach (which you can drive around on it) - Very fine sand on the beach - Relatively clean beach - Great place to view the sunset - Relatively unpoluted Cons - You'll need to pay an entrance fee of RM5 per person (however there might be an alternative entrance to the beach without paying) - Not much beach activities here other than ATV ride One of the many beautiful beach in Sarawak, good place to unwind & enjoy the sunset.

Pantai Trombol is a long beach near Kuching, about 30 km away. The sand is fine and the water seems quite clean. I did not like that too many people drive cars on the beach. If you want to enjoy nature, you don't spoil it. Furthermore, there is unfortunately too much rubbish left on the beach. It is still a place I recommend for the beautiful scenery, you can see mount Santubong nearby. Pantai Trombol is huge and looks quite desertic with dead uprooted tree on some parts of the beach. What puzzles me is that the place seems suitable for swimming but I never could spot anybody doing so...

Found this hidden gem in Kuching. Actually took 40minutes to get there from city centre. The view there was superb and sunset is really a must watch scenery. Need to pay RM5 per head fo access the private beach, parking is easy as u can park anywhere on the beach. Beach was really clean and a lot of seating area available. Not suitable for swimming as there might be crocodiles 😅. Also theres a food stall there that selling some snacks and canned drinks and also ais kacang if u fancy. I went there during a kite festival or something, bonus for me! 😬
