Went there last month with family & friends. This is NOT an all white & sandy beach BUT itz a nice place to have picnic/camp & enjoy the high/low tide. This is a good place to set up a day camp, cook, catch crabs & mudskippers. Also got bamboo clam/pepahat far out the beach when itz low tide. Note that the water is not pristine clear or super clean. Quite similar to PD. The sand also has a layer of black mud underneath & doesn't smell great. The whole area also has some bakau/mangrove growing sporadically with roots which may not be pleasant to step on. So make sure you bring some proper footwear to prevent feet from getting hurt. Itz very interesting to watch how the tides changes because the land is pretty flat & water recede slowly revealing the vast flat beach & armies of crabs coming out to enjoy the sun. Muskippers and other sea life also make for some interesting finds there if you are observant & like to explore out to the open sea. If you are not too particular about the water condition, the not so white sand, the mud, and u like to picnic & do camping, this is a very good place as itz not crowded at all. The beach is actually quite wide & long, so, families can spread out if too many ppl. We camped further away from the main complex area where the "jetty" is. Further away means no crowd. But that also means we have to walk far to get to the toilets. The biggest problem with this place is the sand flies. They bite like mosquitoes but the itchiness gets worse & stay for days or weeks. So, do bring mozzy/insect repellent & spray all over before u enter the beach. The lighting up eggs paper tray also helps to keep...
Read moreThere is an ample parking spot near the beach area. There is also a food court for lunch and evening tea. Not sure if breakfast is served. We have tried their cendol and abc from the shop on the left, abc is so and so, but the cendol is horrondous. Ive ordered mee hoon soup, my partner ate mee bandung. Heres a precisely described food tasting. The mee hoon soup has a fishy aftertaste, as if prawn paste was added out of no reason. I taste the prawn paste even after each scoop of broth and mee hoon. Funny, ill say. As for the other menu, The mee bandung is not commonly tasted. I would say, one of its kind. We dont taste the chillie sauce, chicken broth nor the tangy tasting of water spinach. Funny. I am not implying that it is not good or safe for consumption, its just that the food is not commonly well known of. Shouldnt call it mee bandung. As for the seating, they do have many seats available, and all are indoor. No smoking is allowed and most of it is equipped with a fan. We believe there is a toilet avail at the beach which is walking distance...
Read morePantai Batu Laut is on the way to Tanjung Sepat Fishing Tourists Spot. The beach is re-enforced with big rockts to prevent soil erosion. The Local Government has beatified the beach with a Children's playground and Food Court plus Public Toilets for the use of tourists. Nevertheless the sea breeze is blowing occasionally bring the cool air which is charged with salt giving me a feel of seaside embience. The water is muddy which is not suitable for a dip in the sea. There's a small strip of fine sandy beach ⛱️ just immediately beside the Yatch Clubhouse. It's worth stopping by to answer nature's call and letting the children to unwind after the...
