D'Lagoon Beach — Attraction in Terengganu

Visited in April 2025:

It is a a nice and quiet bay with a lovely little beach. Also the water is clear and good for snorkelling though very shallow next to the beach. Unfortunately, the beach has only limited spots providing shade, so please bring plenty of sun screen and maybe a hat and umbrella.

However, the resort was abandoned and the beach is not cleaned and very dirty. If you want to go there please bring some garbage bags and collect some of the garbage. You can spot the plastic garbage in the photos.

There is no infrastructure so better to bring your own food and drinks. From there you can hike to the West coast of the Island through the jungle. It is a nice walk though the beaches on the East coast are...

D'lagoon è un luogo meraviglioso, con una dimensione familiare impagabile per chi vuole restare ospite della famiglia che gestisce i bungalows e il buon ristorante locale. Si tratta di un posto molto spartano, ma ben inserito nel contesto di una natura raggiungibile solo via acqua. L'unica strada è il sentiero che taglia la giungla e in mezz'ora conduce sull'altro versante dell'isola o permette di raggiungere le pale eoliche sul crinale. Non vi aspettate una spiaggia di sabbia soffice... è spiaggia corallina per cui abbastanza dura e in acqua è subito barriera, per cui si entra e si nuota subito, a pelo d'acqua con il corallo sotto. Ottimo posto per lo snorkeling, prendere il sole, fare uno spuntino al ristorante e passare un paio d'ore.
