We returned in October, for the 4th time, and had another wonderful stay! We have absolutely nothing negative to mention, as our stay was seamless from landing to leaving. There are many 5 star detailed, āarrival to departureā reviews already on here, which mirror our four stays, but please donāt hesitate to experience this beautiful island for yourselves! ||Our villa with pool, the restaurants, numerous food and drink options, spa, activities, spa facilities, beach etc., were all amazing. Great new additions, since last here in 2019, were the buggy tracker, the water villas, Pier 6 restaurant and the Lantern Bar. ||It was lovely to meet up again with staff from previous stays, as well as some new ones. As always, it is the attentive service, friendly, helpful, kind, caring, happy, smiling staff that make our holidays here so special and want to return. Service is second to none and any requests are dealt with promptly and with a genuine smile!||Everyone we met contributed to making our holiday such a wonderful experience, but we would mention a few staff who went above and beyond to make it special.||INTHI, who has just been promoted to Front Office Manager, fantastic news! As in previous trips, he was so helpful with our holiday booking and any questions we had, not only prior to arrival, but also sorting out private fishing trips and other random requests! Nothing was too much trouble. |Many congratulations on your promotion, Inthi, youāre a star and so deserve this recognition!||AYAAN, our GRO, was such a great help arranging/rearranging restaurant bookings, rescheduling trips, room queries and so much more. He was in touch with us every day, checking all was ok and sorting any requests we had. We named him āSpeedy Gonzalezā, as 5 mins after a request (including additional villa amenities), everything was sorted, or delivered! Thank you, AYAAN, until next time.||ANEEL and AGIT, kept our villa well serviced and the minibar/drinks and snacks well stocked everyday.||JUST VEG: AMBIKA, the very capable and fabulous CAPTAIN of the vegetarian restaurant. Her motivation and attention to detail, especially arranging the restaurant decorations, both inside and outside, for the Diwali celebrations, were amazing!|Well done, AMBIKA, you have a great team. Lovely to see you again and we were so touched by your kind Diwali gift on our departure. Thank you and hope to see you soon. |AJFAAN, server in the restaurant, as well as the Lantern Bar.||SUNSET STAFF: RESTAURANT MANAGER, ABDHULLA, so supportive of his staff, resolves any issues they have and ensures everything runs very smoothly.|HEAD SUNSET CHEF, DEVA and CHEF ASANKA, are both talented, hardworking chefs, who will prepare something specially for you, if you ask. |DEVA, so glad we saw you again, even though just for 2 days. Enjoy your holiday and see you next time.|THAPPA, MADHAN, and BHARATH, are all great Sunset serving staff.|AJITH, made fabulous cocktails for us, favourites being Margaritas, Pina Coladas and Lava Flows. |AN EXTRA SPECIAL MENTION for RENU, who looked after us so well every lunchtime and evening in the bar/restaurant. Renu is a fantastic addition to the staff, who we feel sure will go far in her career! For someone so young, Renu impressed us with her service skills, attitude and dedication. We found her to be very attentive, caring, clever, funny and great to talk to, when time permitted. Renu very thoughtfully hand made us a Thank You card, with photos of the 3 of us inside, together with a hand written personal message. |Bless you, Renu, until next time.||PIER 6: IBAADH, THE RESTAURANT MANAGER, who we know from previous trips and doing such a wonderful job managing the team and restaurant, located in such a beautiful setting. Lovely to see you again, take care, until next time.||SPICE STAFF: CHRISTY, GOOAL, SUCHU (who also serves in CEYLON BLISS) and BETSY. Thank you and all the Spice crew, too many to mention individually. We loved the final day table decoration and the personalised card, signed by all the staff. Thank you so much.||We met Mr. Raman, the F&B Director, again. We were so impressed with all the restaurants, especially with the amount of organisation and sheer selection of foods provided for the Chefs Special Indian Ocean evening, set outside the Spice. Everything, including the entertainment, made a really memorable evening for us. You direct a fantastic team! Hope to see you next time too,||Finally, Mr. Ram, the GM of this beautiful resort, is very visible daily in the restaurants, interacting with the guests (and staff) and taking a personal interest in each individualās resort experience.|Mr. Ram, thank you for helping to make this another unforgettable visit for us. We hope to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExceptional place and service quality. We had great vacations (if not best) at Kanifushi. You are fully taken care of and supported to make your vacations best possible.||Activities|-----------------------|Plenty options available, of course all connected mostly with water but not only. We did Sharks, Turtles and Manta snorkeling. All where great experiences.|OceanX team is also exceptionally helpful and keeps all safety standards on top lvl. If you are afraid of something they will help you and support to make this experience a pleasure. My daughter was afraid to try diving - now she talks about it all the time. Warm greeting from us to Abu and other team members. They make a lot of good vibes there.||Transportation|-----------------------|Island is large 2,5Km. By walk it takes around 20-25min - but if you walk fast you will fit in 15min. It's nice range for a romantic walk at evening without doing loops. |You can rent a bike for 1$ per day which is a nice addition. If you don't like walking or riding a bike. Electric buggies will pick you up and drive around whole island. The longest waiting time is 15min, but there is an Tracker app which let's you check location of each buggy so you can step out once it's there.|And believe me drivers of Buggies are the heart of this island. Chat with them as much as you can. They are nice and helpful people who do this hard word to make your stay great. I learned a lot about people, their culture and day to day life. Warm greetings from us to Ali, Hasan and Kuddus you made our stay even better.||Food|-----------------------|There are several restaurants available:|- Just Veg - this is our's top one. It requires booking but is available without limits. It offers exceptionally interesting food which we all loved.|- Ceylon Bliss - our second top choice. Sri Lanka finger food - our kids loved it.|- The Spice - main restaurant offers variety of food and tastes served as a Swedish table. Great quality. Offers themed diners e.g Indian night, Maledivian night etc.. We recommend them - it's a good chance to try different tastes. |- Sunshine Restaurant - great food. They offer extra themed diners e.g Lobster Night etc.. They are extra billable and it's kinda unclear often what is payed and what not, better always ask. |- Sunshine Bar - the worst out of all. But do not get me wrong. It was still very good. But out of Kanifushi offer this lands on the end.|- Pier Six - it's included only once in "All inclusive Kanifushi plan". If you want more it's extra payed. Again it was exceptional food and experience. But is it worth the extra money - I'm not sure. Food is as good as in other restaurants. The only addition you get is a fancy glamour interior. Decide your self.||Beach Villas|---------------------|We intentionally choose beach villa with pool. We wanted to have access to the beach and ocean - IMO this is why you go to Maledives. Kanifushi made our dream come true. Villas are large with large comfy beds. Gigantic bathroom under the stars (i will miss it). In general. Villa has all you might require during your stay including sun screen and repellents. Our villa where on very end of the island which gave as opportunity to have a really privacy, when still being able to benefit out of all goods island offers.||Extras|-------------------|- Duo Band - live band. They caused we where mostly eating in restaurants they played it. Loved them.|- Atmosphere Today - small news paper send as PDF, you receive every day. Gives information on all events and activities + info on tide etc...|- GRO - your stay is driven and supported by a GRO who is assigned to help you - with literally anything - really|- Spa - Kanifushi Plan incl. 2 messages but we recommend choosing one full time ritual as and addition to your stay.||During our 10 day stay we had only one small glitch - which I see as an outstanding result. We where not let in for dinner - because it showed up it required pre-booking and was extra billable - but there was no information anywhere about that. Even in Atmosphere Today it was pointed out as a open for all event. But manager reached us and proposed a bottle of quality sparkling wine as make up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust got home today after the most magical week at Atmosphere Kanifushi. This place is paradise. Iām not sure how we will ever top this holiday. We had an over water villa with a pool and it was stunning. The all inclusive is the best we have ever had, even down to the mosquito repellent in the rooms. The mosquitos are the only negative to the Maldives. Cover your arms and legs in the evenings and smother yourselves in repellent. I had to visit the doctor but all of the medication they gave me, antibiotics, antihistamines and pain relief was all free. They were brilliant with me at the clinic. The villa had wine, champagne, snacks, beers, bottled water, fruit and soft drinks topped up for free daily. We also had a large bottle of spirits each for the week and not the cheap stuff, Malibu and grey goose vodka. Donāt bother taking towels, they give you fresh bath and pool towels daily and the main pools have towels too. There is an iron and ironing board in the room too. You also get house keeping twice daily, not just once. There is a golf buggy bus that takes you around or you can hire bikes for 1 dollar a day. There is a lovely spa and many restaurants. Pier 6 is all inclusive for breakfast but you need to book for dinner, I believe 1 free visit during the stay, food was beautiful. Sunset has all inclusive snack lunch ie burgers and pizzas etc and again 1 free visit for Ala carte dinner during stay or at Pier 6. Sunset has an adults only pool but kids can eat there. Spice is the main buffet style restaurant and all inclusive breakfast lunch and dinner. Lots of choice and always a new cooking station to try each visit. Food can be cooked fresh in front of you too ie steak, chicken and crab at the grill, pancakes and waffles at breakfast and spaghetti bolognaise, naan breads etc. There is a kids corner, lots of pudding choice, ice cream, lovely fresh breads and a huge cocktail list. There are other restaurants we didnāt get to try, just veg and a Japanese. Liquid has entertainment in the evening, itās the main bar and has a pool for adults and children. They do lovely fish goujons and chips 5-7pm and other snacks during the day. There is a kids club and a shop but itās quite expensive. There is a water sports centre for jet skis etc and many excursions. We swam with sharks, they were harmless ones but you can opt for turtles or other marine life. You can also watch the feeding of the sharks and fish on the jetty at 20.45pm. There is a sunset cruise at 5pm. You can have floating breakfasts and bbqs on the beach. We had a honeymoon beach dinner which was included which was nice. There are themed nights like lobster night, thereās always something to see and do. The staff are fantastic, they canāt do enough for you, a extra special shout out to max who was our public relations coordinator and we could WhatsApp her with any questions anytime, she organised all of our special dinners, spa visit, cruise etc and took us around the island on our first day, she was so lovely as was Devan who was our housekeeper, he came in every morning to ensure our villa was clean and topped up with essentials and popped by every evening too to see if we needed anything. They really all do go above and beyond. I could go on and on, just visit this place, I will...
